Arvin has been called to the Mauritius Bar in January 2008 after being ranked 1st at the Vocational Exams for Barristers.

Prior to joining Juristconsult Chambers, Arvin was,between 2010 and 2014,the Managing Director of NS Management Ltd, a management company forming part of the Veling Group where he was managing 40 aviation related companies and where he gained considerable expertise in financial services, investment structures, and cross-border transactions. Arvin has also acted as in-house legal counsel to the Veling group, advising the group on sale and leaseback transactions to a major airline in the Middle East, aircraft repossessions and ferry, aircraft structured finance and civil aviation regulatory matters.

Arvin had his own legal practice between 2008 and 2010 where he was practicing law in general and more specifically civil, commercial, employment and intellectual property laws. He has appeared before the various courts in Mauritius, the Assessment Review Committee, and the Fair Rent Tribunal.

Arvin also lectures, on a part-time basis, at the University of Mauritius, to undergraduate and MBA students. He is a regular speaker at conferences, has contributed to the World Bank’s Doing Business project for the last 6 years and has published articles in magazines relating to law and business.

His areas of expertise include Corporate & Commercial, Aviation & Shipping Finance, and Technology, Telecommunication, Intellectual Property & Data Protection laws, with considerable experience on both the local and international market.
