Bhavish Sewraz

Bhavish is a barrister at the firm. He joined Juristconsult Chambers as a pupil and completed his pupillage under the supervision of Mr Marc Hein S.C, before being admitted to the Bar of Mauritius in September 2017. Bhavish obtained his “Licence en droit” from the University of Toulouse 1 Capitole, France. He then completed his Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. Bhavish is also registered as a Civil and Commercial Mediator with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Group of Bristol (UK). He also holds an LLM in International Trade and Commercial Law from the University of Greenwich, London and was called to the Bar of England and Wales at the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in July 2016.

Bhavish’s practice covers all aspects of corporate and commercial law, data protection, intellectual property and capital markets. Bhavish regularly conducts Data Protection trainings for high-profile conglomerates especially in light of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

He also regularly advises local and international clients in respect of M&A transactions and listing of all kind of securities on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius.

Bhavish is an accredited trainer by the Mauritius Qualifications Authority. He has also contributed to the “Doing Business Project” by the World Bank in the past.
